OUR NATIVE ICON EXPLOITED: Help us stop the killing

Victorian kangaroos face endless survival challenges due to habitat loss, climate change and road collisions.

Even so, the Andrews Labor Government increased it's annual commercial kill quota by 30%, approving a total of 166,750 violent deaths.

And it doesn't stop there.  Thousands more lives are lost through cruel and unscientific ACTW permits, which have also been increased.

Some are killed directly while others, including pouch and dependent joeys, escape but die slowly - from starvation, dehydration and predation without their mothers.

Despite global admiration, kangaroo killing is one of the largest land-based wildlife slaughters in the world. Increased shooting will force kangaroos to the edge of extinction in Victoria.
