Philip Waters, Secretary

Since 2020, Philip Waters has been the General Manager for Deaf Victoria, the peak organisation of deaf and hard of hearing people in Victoria. Previously, he held positions as a Senior Consultant at the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission, and as a Senior Policy Officer in the Office for Disability in the Department of Health and Human Services (now Department of Families, Fairness and Housing).

Contributing to many community-based organisations over the last 15 years, Philip has served on boards and advised various Disabled People’s Organisations (DPO’s), both in Australia and internationally.

You can often find Philip watching documentaries, reading books, making beer, pottering in the shed or catching up with friends. He brings to the Animal Justice Party a deep-seated passion to make a difference in the lives of animals, people and the planet.
