📅 Saturday 24 October 2026, 11am–1pm
📍 State Library Victoria, 328 Swanston St, Melbourne
The Animal Justice Party Victoria is proud to co-host this World Kangaroo Day outreach with the Victorian Kangaroo Alliance, Kangaroos Alive and Save Kangaroos Mornington Peninsula.
Every year on 24 October, people around the world come together for World Kangaroo Day to celebrate kangaroos and speak up for their protection.
Kangaroos are one of Australia’s most loved animals, yet millions are killed each year. World Kangaroo Day is a chance to show that Australians want our national icon protected, not persecuted.
Join us at the State Library
We’ll be holding a peaceful demonstration in the heart of Melbourne, with signs and flyers, to celebrate kangaroos and help the public understand what they face. Whether you can stay for ten minutes or the full two hours, every person who shows up for kangaroos makes a difference.
RSVP using the form so we know you’re coming.
