📅 Sunday 18 October 2026
🕐 1pm - 4pm (come for as long as you can)
📍 295 Bourke Street, Bourke Street Mall, Melbourne

Please note: this event is organised by Vegan Action Melbourne and Melbourne Save Animals in Laboratories. The Animal Justice Party is not organising or co-hosting it -- we're sharing it for members and supporters who may want to go along.

Around 10 million animals are used and killed in Australian labs every year, out of sight and out of mind. This global day of action, held in 250 cities around the world, aims to bring that hidden suffering into public view.

Local advocates are gathering in the Bourke Street Mall to call for an end to animal experimentation and to talk with passers-by about why it matters.

What to know if you're going:

• Wear black
• Signs and handouts will be provided, or bring your own relevant signs
• Stay for the whole afternoon or just drop in for a bit -- every person helps

For more details or questions about the day, please contact the organisers, Vegan Action Melbourne and Melbourne Save Animals in Laboratories, directly.
