Adam Cardilini for Bellarine

Adam is proud to stand as a candidate for the people and animals of the Bellarine.

After working closely with animals as a scientist, Adam developed a deep respect for all animals as individuals wanting to live their lives. By running in the state election he hopes to amplify the voices of animals and help represent their needs.

As an environmental scientist, Adam is deeply concerned by the impacts that the animal agriculture sector has on the environment and climate.

The animal agriculture sector must change in the face of the climate crisis, and Adam wants to see a just transition to a plant-based agricultural system. He is interested in the potential of plant-based protein and cell-based agriculture to mitigate environmental impacts and harm to farmed animals; as well as their potential for creating cimate-proof jobs and supporting industry in regional victoria.

Adam has been vegan since 2012 and advocates for compassion and care towards animals, people, and the planet. He is committed to securing investment in protecting the coast from erosion and the impacts of climate change.

If elected, Adam will work to ensure that distinctive areas and landscapes of the Bellarine are appreciated and maintained, as well as legislating an end to the shooting of the Bellarine’s precious birds during Victoria's recreational duck hunting season.
