Carolyn's love of animals and the outdoors began in childhood, growing up in East Gippsland. As a teenager, a visit to a pig factory farm opened her eyes to the realities of animal agriculture, and set her on a path of animal advocacy that has stayed with her ever since.

Since moving to Melbourne's south-east in her early twenties, and now living in Frankston, Carolyn has turned that early conviction into action: doing street outreach for animals, fostering rescue dogs, and volunteering as a rescuer and transporter for injured and orphaned wildlife.

Carolyn holds a diploma in mental health and works as an NDIS support worker, bringing genuine care to the lives of vulnerable people every day. Her senior dog, Halo, sometimes joins her at work, and the two of them love an adventure or a camping trip together when time allows.

As a mother, Carolyn has taught her children to treat all living things with kindness, from relocating insects and spiders rather than killing them to understanding why animals deserve care and protection – small habits that reflect a bigger belief, that compassion is something we can pass on to the next generation.

If elected, Carolyn will push to end animal agriculture's worst practices, including phasing out intensive factory farming practices, introducing independent monitoring to expose cruelty wherever it occurs, and redirecting government support to help farmers transition to plant-based alternatives.

She will also campaign to stop the logging of native forests immediately, secure genuine protection and rehabilitation for the forests and wildlife already affected, and deliver real transition support for the communities who depend on the logging industry.

Carolyn will push for greater investment in mental health and disability support services –an area where she has seen first-hand how far current systems fall short of the people who rely on them – alongside the Party's wider push for stronger animal protection laws and a fairer, more compassionate Victoria.
