Lis Viggers for Richmond

Having moved to Richmond 14 years ago, Lis is proud to be running as your Animal Justice Party candidate.

As a registered wildlife rescuer, Lis regularly rescues possums, ducks and other native animals in the local area, and would like to see better support for wildlife rescuers and carers throughout the region.

Lis is proud to have seen the enormous impact that the Animal Justice Party has had in the companion animal space, and is keen to expand on this by prmoting Veticare - a universal healthcare system for animals. As a foster carer for dogs rescued from puppy farms, Lis is passionate about transforming pounds and shelters to better protect our companion animals and support the workers and volunteers who keep the system running.

Addressing the climate emergency is a priority to Lis. When elected, she will advocate for a just transition for farmers to move away from animal agriculture and towards sustainable plant-based industries. This is crucial to reach net-zero emissions and future-proof our economy.

Further, Lis will act to protect and expand green spaces across Richmond, as well as putting an end to the toxic 1080 poison which is harming native wildlife.

Lis is a passionate advocate for social justice issues; in particular, she wants to see equitable access for disadvantaged youth and people experiencing homelessness throughout the city, as well as addressing the mental health crisis including issues of addiction.

You'll often find Lis walking the streets and parks of the area with her two companion dogs, Wolfie and Ziggy, or teaching music at a local school.

Donate to the Animal Justice Party

Help elect Animal Justice MPs in Victoria

We're putting everything in to re-elect Georgie Purcell MP to the Victorian Parliament, and build a powerful crossbench that can put animal protection on the political agenda – where it matters most.

Every donation helps turn compassion into political power.

Your support powers real election impact

We rely on donors like you to run in the 2026 State Election. Your contribution helps fund the essentials that make campaigning possible — advertising, printing, outreach, and getting our message in front of voters.

Without grassroots support, we can’t compete with major party spending. With it, we can win seats and change outcomes for animals across the state.

Now is the time to act.
If you want to see stronger animal protection laws in Victoria, this is how it happens.

Can you chip in today to help build the movement in Parliament?
