Natalie Korinfsky for Macedon

Natalie Korinfsky is a social worker, youth worker and long-time resident of the Macedon Ranges who has dedicated her career to supporting young people, strengthening communities and advocating for those whose voices are often overlooked.

Natalie holds a Bachelor of Arts (Nature Tourism and Psychology) and a Master of Social Work. She has worked across a range of community services over the past 15 years, including youth housing, disability support and mental health and wellbeing. She spent ten years as a Youth Worker with Macedon Ranges Shire Council, has worked as a social worker supporting schools throughout the Loddon Campaspe region, and has delivered Teen Mental Health First Aid training to secondary school communities. Early in her career, Natalie worked with neurodiverse young people as a disability support worker, helping them build confidence, independence and connection.

A proud Kyneton local, Natalie has lived in the Macedon Ranges for most of her life and is deeply committed to the local community. She is currently President of the Wedge-Tailed Eagles Football Club and has volunteered in community sport and club administration for more than a decade. She believes local sporting clubs play a vital role in creating welcoming, inclusive, and connected communities.

Natalie is standing as the Animal Justice Party candidate for Macedon because she believes politics should be driven by compassion, integrity and a commitment to the community. She wants to see governments that prioritise the wellbeing of people, animals and the environment, rather than short-term profits or vested interests.

She is passionate about strengthening public services, including mental health, affordable housing, healthcare and education, and increasing transparency and accountability in government. She also supports stronger reforms to restrict gambling advertising and reduce gambling-related harm, particularly by limiting the exposure of children and young people to gambling promotion.

As an Animal Justice Party candidate, Natalie is passionate about protecting the natural environment, ending the use of 1080 poison to protect native wildlife and companion animals, banning greyhound racing, and strengthening protections for all animals through better animal welfare laws that recognise animals as those deserving of care and respect.

Natalie believes that a fairer future is possible when we care for animals, people, protect our environment and invest in strong, compassionate and connected communities.
