Pippa is 25 years old and has lived in Geelong her entire life. She is a qualified chef, passionate animal lover and proud member of her local community. Outside of work, Pippa plays both football and cricket and is a passionate Richmond supporter although she hopes you don’t hold that against her!
Pippa’s love for animals is one of the biggest reasons she decided to stand as a candidate. She has always cared deeply about animals and believes they deserve to be treated with kindness, respect and compassion. She wants to help create meaningful change for animals while also standing up for the environment and the issues that matter to her and the local community.
Earlier this year, Pippa took part in the 2026 YMCA Victorian Youth Parliament program. The experience helped her realise that politics was something she wanted to pursue and to give a go. Through Youth Parliament, Pippa learnt more about the political process, different political parties and the importance of having young people involved in decision-making. She wants to see more young people and women represented in Parliament and given the opportunity to have their voices heard.
A conversation with Peita Collard, candidate for Preston at the Dog Lovers Show also played an important role in encouraging Pippa to take this step. The conversation gave her the confidence to put her hand up and give politics a go.
Pippa has supported and voted for the Animal Justice Party for some time and has followed the work of Georgie Purcell and the difference she has made for animals. After learning more about different political parties through Youth Parliament and doing further research, Pippa realised that the Animal Justice Party best represented her values and the change she wants to see.
She is passionate about ending practices that cause unnecessary suffering to animals. This includes working towards an end to duck hunting, the shooting of brumbies and greyhound racing, as well as strengthening protections for native wildlife and addressing loopholes that allow animals to be harmed under Authority to Control Wildlife permits.
Pippa is also involved in her local sporting community, helping out at her football and cricket clubs volunteering her time doing different jobs around the club.
Pippa wants to be a strong voice for animals, the environment and her community. She may not be the loudest person in the room, but she cares deeply about making a difference and is willing to step outside her comfort zone to help create a kinder and fairer future for animals, people and the planet.
