Alicia Walker for Higgins
Alicia has had a very strong connection with animals from a very young age. She has fostered animals big and small, from guinea pigs and chickens to horses.
Alicia worked in real estate for over 18 years. At the age of 29, she purchased her first real estate agency where she worked as a director and sales manager for many years. Recently, she embarked on a new journey and is now studying Psychology at Deakin University.
In 2012, Alicia became Vegan and since then she has enjoyed volunteering for various animal shelters and running as the Animal Justice Party candidate for Higgins in the 2019 Federal Election.
Alicia is a proud parent to three happy, healthy vegan children, sharing their home with their rescue cats and dogs.
Passionate about the banning of greyhound racing, live export, and companion animal rights, Alicia is also a passionate advocate for ending family violence and addressing other social justice issues.
Alicia is proud to, again, be standing as the Animal Justice Party Candidate for Higgins in the 2022 Federal Election.

Donate to get Alicia elected!
Contesting elections is a costly exercise - it's a $2000 fee per candidate to get on the ballot paper and then there are advertising and printing costs! We estimate it will cost us a minimum of $5k to cover candidate fees, advertising and printing for Alicia's campaign. We'd love to double or triple that to give her the best chance of being elected to represent AJP in the House of Representatives.

Donations to our Federal Election Campaign account are subject to the following conditions:
- donations over $14,500 are subject to disclosure under the provisions of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918,
- donations may be made by a business with an Australian Business Number,
- foreign donations over $100 cannot be accepted.
