Please note: this event is hosted by The Vegan Vegout and Woking Amazing food truck, in support of the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses and the Nup to the Cup campaign. The Animal Justice Party is not organising or co-hosting it – we're sharing it for members and supporters who may want to go along.

The official Nup to the Cup celebration is back! Spend Melbourne Cup Day celebrating life, not racing, with a day of compassion, connection and cruelty-free fun.

Enjoy Melbourne's best vegan food, market stalls, DJs, flash tattoos, animal charities and cocktails.

Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell will be there on the day and will speak at 6pm – come along and hear from her!

Come along, feel the buzz and meet the community. Everyone's welcome, and entry is free.

What to know if you're going:

• Tickets are free, but please register through Humanitix so the organisers know how many people to expect
• Dogs are welcome, but it will be very busy. If your pup isn't great with crowds, it might be best for them to stay comfy at home.
• The venue is inclusive and disability accessible, but it may get loud and crowded at times.
• Free parking is available nearby – see the parking map.
