📅 Tuesday 3 November 2026 (Melbourne Cup Day)
🕐 From 10am
📍 Newmarket Reserve, 407 Racecourse Road, Kensington

Please note: this event is organised by the Coalition for the Protection of Racehorses. The Animal Justice Party is not organising or co-hosting it – we're sharing it for members and supporters who may want to go along.

If you only go to one horseracing protest a year, this is the one!

On Melbourne Cup Day, supporters will gather at Newmarket Reserve, right next to Flemington Racecourse, with music, drinks and a picnic set-up from 10am.

Throughout the day, the group will take banners up to the racecourse entrance to chant and show their opposition to the cruelty of horseracing.

Once the Melbourne Cup has been run in the afternoon, everyone will head to the official Nup to the Cup party at Welcome to Thornbury.

Guest speakers will be announced soon. For updates, check the Nup to the Cup website or the Facebook event below.

Let's race together towards a kinder future for all!
