Animals need more than compassion – they need people willing to speak up, organise, and take action.
That’s why we’re hosting a free online advocacy workshop designed to help you feel confident taking action for animals in your community.
Date: Tuesday, 9th June 2026
Time: 7.00-8.15pm (1h 15 mins)
Location: Online via Zoom
This practical, beginner-friendly session will explore:
- How campaigns create political and social change
- Why grassroots advocacy matters
- Different ways you can take action locally
- How small actions can build into powerful movements over time
- If you’ve ever wanted to do more for animals but aren’t sure where to start, this workshop is for you.
You’ll hear from Animal Justice Party MP Georgie Purcell about the Victorian duck shooting campaign as a real-world example of sustained political advocacy in action – and how public pressure, protests, outreach, petitions and community organising all work together to shift the conversation.
